COVID-19 Response

Link Oregon extends our concern to those impacted directly by the COVID-19 outbreak. This clearly is a challenging and rapidly evolving time for schools and universities, healthcare organizations, state agencies, community non-profit organizations, and for individuals and families.

We are monitoring the news and are following the guidelines set out by the Oregon Health Authority, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization. We are also aligned with the steps being taken by our founding members: Oregon State University, University of Oregon, OHSU, Portland State University, and the State of Oregon Enterprise Information Services. In addition, we are closely observing developments in Washington State, where our counterparts are addressing a more widespread outbreak and where several universities and K-12 schools have already adopted an online education mode for the coming weeks.

Our own engineering and business teams are taking precautions to keep ourselves safe and healthy and ensure that the network remains operational. Our plan addresses protocols for activation of remote work procedures, communication with our community members, and implementation of remote solutions to support service delivery.  In addition, we are avoiding non-essential staff travel.

If your organization has identified any new requirements that a potential organizational closure or quarantine might create, please connect with us so we can work with you to plan for possible scenarios and, if necessary, to troubleshoot the situation. In the event of a significant change to service availability or network utilization, we will update the status on this web page as well as notify you via email.
